Preparing for School/
Transition to Kindergarten

While a preschool experience is not required, in order to enter Kindergarten, it will further build their school readiness. Preschool experiences may include Head Start, School Readiness, Family Child Care, enrichment programs, reading programs, music programs and several others.  These experiences allow children to grow their skills around development, in the following areas: social and emotional, cognitive, math, science, social studies, language, literacy, physical development and health.

Preschool registration is ongoing, throughout the year.  Childcare providers, which may run full-day and year-round, also offer a preschool curriculum.
